Winter's Thrall:
Winter's Thrall is actually from a line in 'November'
- "Now Winter holds you in her thrall..." Turns out it's
also a line from Horace.
1/15/2007 - Winter's Thrall's new EP is nearing
completion, and is to be mastered by Swans, New Model Army, Verve
and Oasis producer and engineer John
Cornfield.
10/14/2006 - Winter's Thrall is on hiatus from
playing live while preparation is made for the release of the EP.
Former CRADLE OF FILTH/DIMMU BORGIR drummer Nick
Barker is featured on the new EP from Winter's Thrall, the brainchild
of artist Jez Ball. The EP was recorded in the U.K. in September,
with production by Greg
Brimson (RAMMSTEIN, PARADISE LOST, METALLICA) and engineering
by Russ Russell (NAPALM
DEATH).
Brimson describes the initial album demo as "pure
genius," with Barker adding, "It made all the hairs on my body stand
up."
